At One Parent Scholar House, we help single parents earn a post-secondary education by providing affordable housing for their families. Our partner, Community Action Council, directly operates The Prep Academy at Red Mile on our campus.
Their high-quality early childhood education program educates young children (up to five years old) and provides comprehensive services for every member of the child’s family to help both the child and the family be successful in school and ready for the future.
The Council’s Prep Academies are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Kentucky All STARS and feature enhanced play spaces, culturally diverse educational materials, and state-of-the-art technology to support learning.
Their Early Head Start (0-3 years old) program uses an evidence-based curriculum and offer fun and meaningful opportunities for family engagement.
